Robin's head would have destroyed his mothers birth canal.
I am looking forward to this.
Anyone know what Quietly has been doing lately?

They have a couple panel preview in this week's DC Nation, I got all excited when I realized it was Quitely. Then I figured it had to be Morrison, and I went all fangasm over it...
Morrison is in for at least 12 issues.
Quitely will draw the first 3, then Philipp Tan will take over for the next 3, then Dough Manhke for 3 issues as well and then Quitely will come back to do the last 3.
After that those 12 issues, it's not known who will be writing/drawing.

I assume this new "Batman and Robin" series will replace the man-made disaster that is All Star Batman and Robin?
And while I'm thrilled these two are teaming up again, I'd like to see them take on a less popular character. Maybe someone in the B's or C's. Y'know, just to shake things up a little bit.

I had hopes for some Bat-Books post BftC, and when I heard this today I was disappointed... call me a blasphemer all you want but I'm just not excited about Quietly at all.
However, i knew upon hearing it that Arn had probably shit his pants and had a wet dream all at once.

Nope, this series is a post Battle for the Cowl book, along with a Batman series as well.
Not sure who the Batman is, but that version of Robin is NOT Tim Drake to me at all. If it's supposed to be him, then it's a shitty version.

I'm pretty sure that Batman is gonna be Nightwing and Robin is gonna be Damien. We'll find out in BftC...

That picture there DEFINITELY hints at Damien being Robin because it's not Tim there at all. I can understand a decision made by most everyone to keep a better eye on Damien by having him be Robin under Dick as Batman, but I'm really concerned as to where that puts Tim. Red Robin? or are they going to give that over to Jason?
Or... Are they going to have multiple Batman and Robin teams out there, since no one team could really replace him?
Say, Dick and Damien so that someone stable (Dick) is watching over someone not so much (Damien) and Jason and Tim in the same vein (Tim being stable, Jason being not so much)?

I hate Quitely. sorry.

Quitely is...an acquired taste, lol. Some of his stuff can be bad (Emma Frost's big ole dick was one of them) but I feel he definitely compliments Morrison's writing style...

EDITOR'S NOTE: I'll probably buy it anyway cuz I'm a sucker like that.
Because I like you guys and because no one seem to have noticed, here are the creative teams on all the bat books that will follow Battle for the Cowl in June.
Batman-Judd Winick/Tony Daniel
Batman & Robin-Grant Morrison/Frank Quitely
Detective Comics-Greg Rucka/J.H. Williams
Red Robin-Christopher Yost/Ramon Bachs
Streets of Gotham-Paul Dini/Dustin Nguyen
Outsiders-Pete Tomasi/Lee Garbett
Gotham City Sirens-Paul Dini/Guillem March
I'm gonna get Batman & Robin, Detective and Streets of Gotham.
Can't say this new line up of creators is completely overwhelming but some strong guys there.
Although I puke all over the Winick/Daniel team.

Winnick is coming back to Batman? Wonder who is gonna end up gay now =o/ In all seriousness, I actually thoroughly enjoyed Winnick's Batman. I loved bringing back Jason Todd...
What's Streets of Gotham gonna be like?

Streets of Gotham wil be great because Paul Dini is a genius
But what will the book be about?
Jesus Christ, do I have to do everything here? :D

NRAMA: With Streets of Gotham, it sounds as if you’re going with an all too often ignored take, that is, focusing on how Batman is seen, rather than showing the story through Batman’s point of view. What can you say about the different views that will be highlighted?
PD: One of the things that has always formed an image of Batman for me goes back to the animated series. The first thing that anybody ever saw from Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski was a little trailer which in part became our opening for the very first animated series, which had these thugs on a rooftop and Batman is just...there. He’s like a living shadow. You don’t even see any detail on him – he’s just a silhouette. I’ve always liked that interpretation of Batman – you see him from the crooks’ point of view, or you see him from an innocent person’s point of view. So with this, it was “Let’s leave the Batcave behind, let’s leave the alter ego behind, let’s just do Batman and the effect he has on people.”
That’s a lot of fun, seeing it from that point of view.
NRAMA: As you said at the Wonder Con panel, there will be multiple points of view showing Batman – how will you pull a throughline through all of this?
PD: We’re looking at doing it more in arcs like “Heart of Hush.” We have some stories in the works about some very compelling people, and we’ll have compelling stories that take place from the point of view of regular people of Gotham or Jim Gordon or cops on his staff who find themselves working in tandem, or at odds with, this creature known as Batman.
In short : BUY IT.
That indeed sounds like goodness. What's Dini done, Data?
He's been writing Detective Comics for a while now, about the same time as Morrison took over Batman.
He also was the main force, with Bruce Timm, behind the Batman Animated series.
He created Harley Quinn and wrote the comics that introduced her in the DC-verse proper.
He also did the oversized DC books with Alex Ross featuring DC icons.
And the Jingle Belle books at Image.
