Help me name the Mead [Archive]

So on the 29th this month my dad & I will be brewing Mead! here are some of the names I have been tossing around in my head to name it, vote on it or suggest something else.

Odin’s Beard
Valhalla’s Best
Thor’s Hammer
Nectar of the Gods

yeah since all I ever really knew about mead was that the gods drank it I wanted to go with that theme

I kinda like Odin's Beard.

I also would like to toss over;
Hair of Fenrir - Fenrir from Norse mythology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenrir), the name is based on the old "hair of the dog" saying.

Miel - miel meaning honey in French and Spanish, since I read that mead is made from honey.

Based on that link, I'd have to go with something like Valkyrie's Gift. (Even though I'm more partial to using the Greek mythology.)

We have not made it yet. we will be brewing it next sunday, unfortunitly it will take a year for it to ferment completly! we will bottle it a few months from now but it will finish fermenting in the bottles.

there are 2 ways of spelling it i think but yeah that is fine. like I said we have not even made the stuff yet so I can change that easy

Also, this is very odd because a coworker of mine just brewed his own beer and gave me two bottles. I never thought people REALLY made their own shit and yet here are two people I know that did it. His tasted like a deliciouser version of Guinness. So good!

Hope yours is as good, let us know in 2010!

Critique on the labels: No drop shadow and easy on the metal-looking effects or whatever that is (looks like bevel & emboss on some of them). Good image choices though.

well I figure it is my mead and I am doing the labels myself this time (printing them). we will have like 72 bottles! why name it all the same? I figure I can have multiple lables designs. so I may go with all of them!
