So here's the plan: Creative Cafe Theme Night will be a weekly exercise
for anyone who wants to participate. The rules are pretty simple.
1) Anyone who wants to can send me a prompt or theme of no more than ten words, such as "Secret Society" or "Cooking with Fire." Basically, you can send me a prompt, via PM, and I will pick one out each week.
2) I will make a thread for a chosen prompt every Thursday. Next, anyone can post a short story, song, poem, drawing, comic, video, or whatever based on that prompt in that thread. Any writing that is contributed should probably be under 2000 words, to keep it short, sweet, and less time consuming for participants.
3) Everyone get to read and reviews the contributions made that week, (and I expect people will probably get a bit of rep for their pieces.) You can criticize pieces constructively if you feel the need, but comments like "Meh." or "Uh...interesting...O.o" leave much to be desired, so try to go into detail a bit in your reviews. ^_^
Everyone has a week to post their contributions, and that week's prompt will be considered closed as soon as I post the new prompt, though of course anyone may continue to add to older threads.
Incidentally, Adam will add a sub forum to the Creative Cafe that's password protected, thus keeping your contributions "ungoogle-able" and secure.
In any case, feel free to start PMing prompts as soon as you can! I'm hoping to start the first Theme Night tomorrow.
In the meantime, please enjoy the modern dance stylings of the Cafe's own... Dancing Chewies!
